By using The LegalVA Hub website and services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

What we offer

The LegalVA Hub offers a certification program for Legal Virtual Assistants, a directory of certified graduates, facilitated introductions between law firms and graduates, and free educational resources.

Our role

The LegalVA Hub is a training and certification institution. We are not a law firm. We are not an employer, staffing agency or recruiter. We facilitate introductions only. Attorneys and graduates agree their working arrangement directly, including scope, pay, hours, confidentiality and supervision. We do not supervise, manage or guarantee any arrangement, and we do not guarantee employment, introductions, hours or income.

For attorneys and law firms

If you request an introduction, you are responsible for:

• your own due diligence on any graduate, including reviewing their profile and verifying their credential;
• supervising the work of anyone you engage, in line with the professional rules that apply to you;
• protecting client confidentiality and putting appropriate agreements in place;
• complying with the employment, contractor and tax laws that apply to your arrangement.

A request does not oblige either side to proceed, and we may decline or stop any request.

Program enrollment

Enrollment is subject to application, admission, cohort capacity and payment of the program fee. A seat is confirmed only when payment is received. Applying or joining a waitlist does not guarantee admission. Participants must complete their own work and meet program deadlines. There are no blanket extensions, and individual situations are reviewed case by case.

Certification

Certification is awarded when a participant completes all program requirements, as determined by The LegalVA Hub. We may withhold certification from participants who do not meet program standards or who breach academic integrity. We may revoke a credential for misrepresentation or serious misconduct. The certification is issued by The LegalVA Hub. It is not a governmental or third-party accreditation.

Graduate directory

Listing is at our discretion and requires the graduate’s consent. We may update or remove a listing. A listing is not an endorsement of a graduate for any particular role, and availability shown on profiles may change.

Credential verification

Verification pages confirm program completion and the competencies assessed in the program. They do not verify any other qualification, licence or work history unless the page says so.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse our website, misrepresent your affiliation with us, scrape the directory, or use directory information to contact graduates directly outside the introduction process.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including program materials, curriculum, guides, branding and text, belongs to The LegalVA Hub and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Our free resources are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, resell or create derivative works without our written permission.

Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites or tools. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, The LegalVA Hub is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, and is not responsible for any agreement or working relationship between an attorney and a graduate.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We will try to resolve any dispute informally by email first. If that fails, the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
