ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
A Training Institution for Legal Virtual Assistants
The LegalVA Hub was established to address a consistent gap in the legal support industry: the shortage of virtual assistants who are trained specifically for legal work, not just general administration. Two completed cohorts have demonstrated that structured, practical instruction delivered with professional-grade expectations produces graduates who are genuinely ready to support attorneys in demanding legal environments.
The ten-week certification program is cohort-based and assessment-driven. Participants work through real legal scenarios, use professional-grade tools, and are held to the documentation and communication standards expected in law firm practice. Cohort 3 continues that standard.
ELIGIBILITY
Who Should Apply
Cohort 3 is designed for serious applicants. The following describes the candidate profile the institution is looking for.
Career Transitioners
Individuals making a deliberate move into Legal Virtual Assistant work and seeking structured training to enter the field with professionalism, clarity, and real readiness.
Those With Some Administrative Background
Applicants with experience in administrative, paralegal-adjacent, or professional services roles who want to formalize and specialize their skills in a legal context.
Career-Focused Applicants
Those committed to completing a structured program with real deadlines, practical assessments, and professional-grade expectations, not a passive learning experience.
Aspiring Specialists
Individuals who want to develop a defined practice area niche in Immigration, Personal Injury, Corporate, or similar fields rather than generalist admin work.
Please note: This program is not suited to applicants seeking a self-paced, low-commitment course. Participants are expected to meet real deadlines, engage with structured assignments, and maintain professional standards throughout the ten weeks.
PROGRAM EXPERIENCE
What Training Involves
1. Structured, Cohort-Based Training
Cohort 3 runs on a fixed schedule. Participants progress through the same modules at the same pace, with real deadlines and instructor-led guidance throughout the ten weeks.
2. Practical Legal Workflow Assignments
Each module includes hands-on assignments drawn from real legal contexts; case file management, document drafting, client intake workflows, and practice-area-specific tasks using tools such as PracticePanther.
3. Assessment-Based Progression
Completion is earned, not given. Progress is measured through submitted work and assessments. Certification is awarded only to participants who meet program standards.
4. Professional Portfolio Development
By the end of the program, graduates hold a portfolio of completed legal work that demonstrates readiness to attorneys and law firms considering engagement.
